Things to do in the area

  • Walking & jogging

Sagaliden is surrounded by a cultivated cultural landscape with fine walking paths, jogging routes and deep forests. There are two longer hiking trails in Nordanstig municipality, Vallstigen between Hassela and the Bothnian Sea and Kustleden at the Bothnian Sea. We have a simple map on site with shorter walking trails, longer jogging trails and trails for the dog. Hiking trails in the area see upplevnordanstig.se

  • Canoeing & rowing

The canoe trail between Hassela and the Bothnian Sea runs through Storsjön. Sagaliden has canoes, rowing boats and SUPs; stand up paddle boards and life jackets that can be borrowed by Sagaliden's resident guests for shorter trips. In the winter, depending on ice and snow conditions, Storsjön provides opportunities for long-distance skating and skiing. For longer canoe trips we recommend kustleden.se.

  • Fishing

The location next to the lake makes it possible for guests to fish. We have fishing rights and rowing boats can be borrowed free of charge. Some simple fishing gear can be borrowed, but guests who want to fish are welcome to bring their own rods. The lake, which has very good water quality, contains perch, pike, trout, vendace and the occasional burbot. In winter, fish are plucked from the ice. More about fishing in Nordanstig
