Forge your own Axe at Gränsfors Bruk this fall
Sagaliden organizes and offers blacksmithing courses together with nearby Gränsfors Bruk in the village of Gränsfors. For more than 100 years, Gränsfors Bruk has built up a business around the manufacture of hand-forged axes and axe skills, with a focus on quality and environmental responsibility. Over the years, many people have gained their first insight into the fascinating world of hot forging at the mill's well-equipped training forge.
The forging courses take place at Gränsfors Bruk and are led by an experienced blacksmith from the mill. All courses include forging at your own axe, full board (food and accommodation), materials, course literature and a guided tour of the axe production. Teaching is in Swedish and English. Accompanying family can stay at Sagaliden.
